A guide to help countries create their national circular economy roadmaps published!

Sitra Fund has put together a guide based on Finland's experiences on how to create and implement national circular economy roadmaps across the world!

Finland was the first country to create a National Circular Economy Roadmap published in 2016 then updated in 2019. The document outlines the circular economy measures and methodologies that the Finnish state and both the public and private sector needs to commit to.

Based on the experiences and lessons learnt so far, Sitra has provided a guideline for other countries on how to create their own circular economy roadmaps.

The document contains useful tools, guidelines and inspiration for countries that want to move towards a circular economy. The guise also describes how Finland’s circular economy road map was created and what we learned during the process. It serves to provide best practices and tips for those drawing up their own circular economy roadmaps that will facilitate the global transition to a circular economy in the long-term as well.
