Circular Point attended the online TAIEX EPPA sub-regional workshop on Circular Economy, 26-27 May 2021

The online Sub-regional workshop on Circular Economy (CE) organised by the EU Environmental Partnership Programme for Accession (EPPA Network) took place on 26-27 of May 2021. The workshop aimed to share  EU policy initiatives and practical measures for the development of a sustainable, low carbon, resource efficient, and competitive economy in the framework of the Green Deal. The workshop focused on four of the seven sectors that EPPA Network works with, namely, packaging, plastic, construction and food waste. The two-day event started with presentations and key-note speeches from high-level EU representatives as well as high level representatives from some of the EPPA beneficiary countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia

The "TEX2GREEN webinar II" held on 31 May 2021, addressed the possibility of putting the textile and clothing industry on a sustainable path. One of the flagships of Hungarian home textile production, Naturtex Kft. and  Unicon Zrt., a supplier to the furniture industry, were also present at the event. Both presentations emphasized the importance of environmental protection, energy efficiency as well as  the social responsibility and the well-being of employees.
